Tanglewood preserve in rockville centre

With the Sierra Club of LI, we tend to and work on the removal of an invasive plant in this native garden nestled next to a small pond.

Despite the garden’s small size, it is making an environmental impact on the small community of wildlife that exist in that location, becoming a hotspot for birds. We will allow the seed to spread and as more invasives are removed, the seeds will begin to flourish all along the edge of the pond's banks.

Hendrickson park Native plant garden

The native plant garden in Hendrickson Park provides sustenance for the local ecology that exists within the park, but was initially built to help with drainage issues and mitigate flooding from the soccer pitches nearby.
