Welcome to Springs School, a cornerstone of the East Hampton community with a proud legacy of nurturing young minds and honoring the rich cultural heritage of the East End. Founded in 1931, Springs School has long served as a vibrant hub of learning for generations of local families, blending academic excellence with deep-rooted values of community, creativity, and respect for our natural surroundings. Nestled in the historic hamlet of Springs—home to renowned artists, writers, and fishermen—our school continues to celebrate and reflect the unique character of our coastal community.

In keeping with our mission to provide students with hands-on, meaningful learning experiences that connect them to their environment, we are thrilled to introduce our newly planted ReWild Native Garden, located in the heart of one of our school courtyards. This dynamic outdoor space is more than a garden—it's a living classroom where students will engage in science, art, and environmental studies amidst a thriving ecosystem of native plants. Designed with sustainability and education in mind, the garden will support lessons on local biodiversity, pollinator health, Indigenous plant knowledge, and ecological stewardship.

Our native garden is also a symbol of Springs School’s ongoing commitment to place-based education and community values. By learning outside among the flora that define our region, students gain a stronger connection to their home, fostering pride, responsibility, and a sense of belonging. The garden will be a collaborative space for cross-grade projects, mindfulness activities, and school-wide events, as well as hold a space for quiet reflection —growing not only plants, but the spirit of community that has always defined Springs.
