A Native Plant Discovery Walk at Skipper Horton Park

Come discover Long Island's native plants! Walk, learn, and explore the species that call our island home.

Group for the East End and ReWild North Fork invite you to join us in exploring the plant communities of the North Fork, in search of native species both common and uncommon.

The extraordinary Taralynn Reynolds will co-lead the walk.

We have a very exciting year planned, but we can do so much more with your input and help.

As we are a volunteer-led and -run community organization, we need our hardworking and committed volunteers and partners to further our causes.

Some topics we’ll discuss

• plant sale organization and pickup

• garden tours

• tabling events where we chat up the public at meetings and celebrations

• weekly gardening maintenance

• upcoming seminars and workshops

• composting

And more! Oh, and native plant and seed swaps! We have seeds, lots of seeds! Thanks to our generous gardeners and nurseries, we are swimming in seeds.   

Light rain won't stop us , but we'll cancel if it's heavy rain!
