At St. Francis Episcopal Church, our faith calls us to be in relationship with God’s Creation and to work for healing when that relationship is not in balance.  The earth is a living organism that is able to heal. 

Our relationship with the land is deeply connected to our service through a reverent and diverse partnership with the community and the earth.  This is evident with our food production garden, from which we have been sharing organic produce with our neighbors through a seasonal weekly farm stand and donations to local food pantries for more than a decade.

The addition of the ReWild Meditation Meadow, purposefully located adjacent to our labyrinth, is part of our larger plan to protect, restore, and cultivate habitats for native plants and pollinators, as well as intentionally create more space for people to connect with God through meaningful encounters with nature.

The Meditation Meadow is a place of hospitality for visitors as well as for the plants and wildlife.  You are invited to enjoy it from dawn until dusk.

We acknowledge that we are on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Lenape people, the Merrick (Meroke) and Munsee communities.  We recognize the enduring presence and deep spiritual, cultural, and familial ties of Indigenous communities past and present and express our gratitude to the First Nations who have cared for this land from time immemorial.
