ReWild Saturdays at Springs Farmers Market: Compost & Pollinators, too

  • Springs Farmers Market at Ashawagh Hall 780 Springs Fireplace Road East Hampton, NY, 11937 United States (map)

Ready to welcome butterflies to your backyard?

You don’t need a big budget or a master’s degree in ecology to protect local wildlife, save the pollinators, and keep East Hampton’s waterways clean. It all starts with small, simple shifts right at home.

Stop by the Springs Farmers Market to drop off your food scraps (we'll transform them into healthy soil food) and pick up practical, foolproof tips to transform your yard using the ReWild CROWN approach.

ReWild CROWN Guide to a Healthier Yard and Family

Sustainable steps you can start using immediately:

C – Compost: Ditch the landfill, feed the earth, and build healthy soil

R – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Creative second uses for garden and kitchen waste

O – Organic Landcare: Keep your lawn lush without the harsh, toxic chemicals

W – Water Wisely: Hydrate your garden efficiently (and save on the water bill)

N – Native Plants: The best buffet for a beautiful pollinator garden

🐥 Bring the kids! Swing by for a fun and free eco-activity designed for young hands and growing minds.

Your oyster and clam shells have a second life. ReWild has partnered with South Fork Sea Farmers to collect shells at our compost stations. Drop them off and they'll become the foundation for new oyster reefs — home to fish, crabs, and a whole community of marine life. We're also working with the Town of East Hampton Shellfish Hatchery on shellfish surveys and hatchery maintenance. Find a shell drop-off near you at southforkseafarmers.org/our-locations

Got extra Fresh Direct bags? Bring them along. Holly, Kira, and Karen at the Springs Food Pantry use them to bag groceries for more than 650 local families every week.
