Meet the salt marsh — and learn why it needs your attention.
Join ecologist, writer, and environmental educator Ella Gatfield for an immersive ecotour of Northwest Harbor County Park in East Hampton.
We'll begin with a guided meditation to attune our senses to the dynamic ecology of the East End's coastline, then walk the sand trail through a variety of coastal habitats — exploring the vital roles they play in supporting the health of ecosystems essential to our collective community.
Whether you're a longtime beachgoer, a budding naturalist, or simply curious about the world beneath your feet, you'll leave with a deeper connection to the coastline and practical insight into what it means to truly attend to a place.
Please bring: a towel or mat, weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen (or other sun protection), water, and bug spray. Eco-friendly products are preferred!
Free. Registration Required.
