Upcoming Events

Our Home Garden

The three village historical society

The Three Village Historical Society community garden is the home garden of the ReWild Mid Suffolk chapter. The TVHS is based in Setauket and was one of the first gardens to be planted through our community gardens program. To join us for garden maintenance, sign up at www.rewildlongisland.org/volunteer

Add your photos of the wildlife at the Three Village Historical Society to our iNaturalist project. You will help iNaturalist deepen their data set - it is used by scientists for many projects - and you’ll help us create a record of what is using this space. Load the iNaturalist app to your smart phone, create an ID and join the project “Three Village Historical Society.”  Every identification that you make and upload at TVHS will be included in the project.

Programs in the Mid Suffolk Chapter

Library Talks

Learn about native plant species at our series of talks and workshops. In libraries, garden clubs and community venues around MidSuffolk, you can participate in interactive workshops, or listen to informative lectures. Learn how to sow seeds in the winter using recycled materials, what plants are native to your area, and general useful gardening techniques.

Check the events page for upcoming talks!

Winter Walks

Get outside and view the beautiful world around you! Located all across Mid Suffolk, you can experience the great outdoors and get closer to nature! Enjoy leisurely walks and tours around arboretums, forests, gardens, and more. Registration is not necessary for most walks, but it does help us know what to expect.

Our Winter Walks are finished for the ‘25-’26 season, but check back for next year’s schedule.

PlanT Sale

Volunteer at our Spring and Fall plant sales! Distribution is from Lake Grove, where you can pick up your ReWild plant sale order, or browse the offerings of KMS Native Plants. We need your help to sort the plants to orders and help people pick them up.

In spring, plants can be ordered in late March and picked up in May, just before Mother’s Day.

In fall, plants can be ordered in early September and picked up in mid-October.

To volunteer, sign up at www.rewildlongisland.org/volunteer

Visit the plant sale page for more information!
